14th Australasian Viral Hepatitis Conference
1-3 August 2024, Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia
In August this year, Centre for Innovation in Infectious Disease and Immunology Research (CIIDIR) members A/Prof. Amanda Wade, Dr Christine Roder and Tiffany Pe along with their colleagues Dr Shaun Inthavong and Dr Jacqui Richmond attended the 14th Australasian Viral Hepatitis Conference in Darwin.
The theme of the conference was “Strength in Unity,” where researchers explored ways to harness the strength of our community, celebrate our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce, and forge partnerships for change. Over 320 people were registered for the conference from numerous disciplines and institutions across seven countries.
The team delivered two presentations:
- A/Prof. Amanda Wade and Dr Jacqui Richmond gave a plenary oral presentation titled “General practice perspectives on hepatitis B models of care in a low prevalence area in regional Victoria, Australia.”
- Dr Christine Roder gave a presentation titled “Missed Opportunities: A Retrospective Study of Hepatitis C Testing in Hospital Inpatients.”
And presented three posters:
